So far I have written at least five different drafts on five different topics for this particular post, and yet here I am on Monday morning with a blank screen staring boldly and brightly in my face!
Why?
Well, every time I went back and reread each of those drafts, and even one post which is completely ready to be published, I was lacking the peace of God. I did not have His seal of approval on any of them, therefore I could not move forward.
I felt like I was banging my head against a wall!
Granted, it's been harder than usual to keep my concentration these days due to my symptoms bothering me more than usual, but the Lord ALWAYS gave me just the right words in the past, let me rephrase that, HIS WORDS, to share with all of you.
By Monday morning I am usually editing and changing words for the post which will be published on Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m., but since there's no words for this post, there's no need to edit.
I prayed earnestly and diligently sought the Lord's wisdom in what to share, but He has been silent. Which is "kind of", "sort of" frustrating!
But this morning as I was doing my devotions, it occurred to me that maybe that's EXACTLY how the Lord intended it to be for this week!
For me
to be
TOTALLY
SILENT
and
allow
THE LORD
to speak!
So instead of hearing from me today, you're going to hear from the Lord.
Be blessed
as you
listen to
God speak!
All I ask is that you would PLEASE slow down and read, REALLY read each word from God. I KNOW from my own personal experience how easy it can be to skim right over or super read God's Word, especially the verses we are quite familiar with.
Take time
to soak in
what God
has to say,
and trust me,
I'm preaching
first
and
foremost
to myself!
Fear
"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"

November 11, 2018 at 9:35 pmI love that you haven't "pretended", Barb, rather you told us you didn't have the words. So you took God's Words and gave us a rich feast! His Word never returns void - so I'm believing with you that someone needs to read even one of the verses at this particular time. Be blessed and encouraged, sweet friend. Love you and sending hugs across the ocean. ❤️❤️
