He’s Alive!

He’s Alive!

This particular post
is straight
from my heart
to yours.
I spent much time
in prayer
preparing this post.
It's very
"near and dear to me"
because it proves
the incredible,
indescribable,
amazing love
of Jesus
for me
and for you
through
His death,
burial
and resurrection!

If you already know Jesus as your personal Saviour, I pray that you would be reminded anew of Jesus' great sacrifice of GRACE and LOVE He demonstrated when He died on the cross for MY sins and YOUR sins and how He won the VICTORY over sin and death and Hell when He arose out of that tomb on the third day!

My friend, if you have yet to trust Jesus as your personal Saviour, PLEASE take the time to read the following words with a heart and mind wide open to the TRUTH of God's Word.  Jesus is waiting and WANTING to be your Saviour TODAY.

I am praying for you!

The most important day in ALL of history!

EASTER or RESURRECTION DAY!!

The day when believers in Jesus Christ all over the world celebrate the FACT that Jesus arose from the dead.

HE'S ALIVE

The resurrection of Jesus is so vitally important to the Christian faith because there is NO OTHER FAITH who has a RISEN Saviour!  If we did not have a risen Saviour, we would have NO hope for this life or for the life to come.

All other faiths have leaders who have a date when they were born and a date when they died and that's where it ENDS!  Buddha was born, died and is still dead.  Muhammad was born, died and is still dead. Socrates was born, died and is still dead.  Confucius was born, died and is still dead.  I think you get the point!!

BUT Jesus was born and died AND AROSE FROM THE DEAD!  That's what sets Jesus apart from all others.  He is ALIVE and seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven right now.

"But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;"
Hebrews 10:12

BUT another thing that sets Jesus apart from all other religious leaders is that He is the only One who NEVER sinned.

We NEEDED someone to “rescue” us from our sins.  We were in desperate need of a Saviour. The only one who can save someone from their sins is one who never sinned themselves, and that Someone, of course was Jesus, because He not only was The Son of God, He was also God in the flesh and NEVER once sinned!

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."
II Corinthians 5:21

I know that this may sound all very “basic” to most of you, as it did to me most of my life.

As I was growing up, I knew about the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  I knew Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world BUT I never made it personal. I just couldn't see myself as a sinner needing a Saviour!

You see I had a "sin system" worked out in my mind.  I had sins categorized in different "levels".  The really "bad" sins, the "medium" sins and then the "little" sins.  I always thought of myself of falling into the "little sins level".  Never doing anything really "that bad" that would label me a sinner in my own mind.

BUT the Bible teaches NO SUCH THING.  In fact the Bible teaches that we are ALL sinners and that one sin is just as bad as another sin.  But there is no sin so great that it cannot be forgiven.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
Romans 3:23

None of us can measure up to the Lord's standard of holiness and that is why we NEED Jesus to be our Saviour.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
John 14:6

If being a good person or giving to the poor or even attending church could have forgiven us of our sins, God would have NEVER sent His only Son to the cross to die.  But God loves us so much that He wants us to be with Him in Heaven forever and the ONLY way that was possible was for His perfect, sinless Son to die on the cross and to rise again the third day.

And I, for one, am SO VERY THANKFUL that He did.  Jesus not only took the punishment for my sins and opened the way for me to be with Him in Heaven one day for all Eternity, but as my Saviour, He is with me every single moment of every single day, and for that I can never ever thank Him enough!

If you have heard the "Easter story" all of your life, but have never made Jesus' death, burial and resurrection personal in your own life, TODAY would be the perfect time to do so.

Trusting Christ as your personal Saviour is so very simple.

It's just a matter of realizing that Jesus died, was buried and rose again for YOU.  Even if you had been the only person living at the time, Jesus still would have died just for YOU because He loves YOU that much and wants YOU to be forgiven of YOUR sins and spend Eternity in HEAVEN with HIM.

Pray and tell Jesus that you believe that He died, was buried and rose again for you.  Tell Him that you know that you are a sinner and You are trusting Him to be Your Saviour. The Only One to forgive you of your sins and take you to Heaven one day.  Tell Him that you are placing your faith in Him and Him alone to forgive you of your sins and you are asking Him to be the Lord of your life.  You do NOT need to use fancy words like "thee" and "thou" when praying to God.  Praying is just talking to God.  He is NOT impressed with eloquent speech.  He is simply interested in what is truly in your heart.  It’s that simple.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16

Trusting Christ as your personal Saviour IS THE MOST IMPORTANT decision that you will EVER make in your entire life.  It is literally a matter of life and death.  Eternal life with God in Heaven.  Or being separated from God and spending Eternity in Hell.

I know what I just wrote is not popular these days and it surely is not "politically correct", but it NEEDS to be said because it is straight from God's Word and it is TRUTH.

We are not guaranteed our next breath.  The Bible says, “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”
James 4:14

Tomorrow
may be
too late.
Trust Christ
TODAY!

And please remember
It's NOT
about a religion
It's ALL
about a relationship
with Jesus Christ!
