"Thy word
is a lamp
unto my feet,
and a light
unto my path."
Psalm 119:105

PLEASE listen .... REALLY listen ... to the words in the video below and then I'll be back!
I know I did things backwards today, but this is how the Lord had me write for today!
And really there is no normal here on this site anyway!
However the Lord leads is the way we go!!!
"Word of God Speak"
I've heard this song so many times that I've lost count, but on this one particular day as it came up on my Pandora music list, I took the time to REALLY listen to the words.
As the words to the song kept playing over and over in my mind throughout that day, it prompted me to make a list of some of my most favorite Scripture verses.
Verses that may be some of my "go to" verses when I need immediate help or verses that remind me of the unconditional love of my Saviour or verses that bring me great comfort or verses which the Lord is currently "working out in my life"!
As I share some of my "most favorite verses", I pray that you will allow "The Word of God" to speak to you, and as you do, that the Lord will bring to you comfort, blessings, encouragement, challenges.
Whatever your greatest need is at the moment.
"He must increase, but I must decrease"
John 3:30
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

"Pray without ceasing."

Romans 8:38-39
“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:” Psalm 103:1-2

Jeremiah 32:27
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

I hope that you were blessed by reading some of my most favorite Scripture verses.
May I challenge you?
If you don't already have your own list of your most favorite Scripture verses, why not take some time over the next few days and allow "The Word of God" to speak to you?
You don't have to start out with a long list. You can always add on to it over time. Just "go" as the Lord leads you. You won't regret it.
I PROMISE!!
"Father, thank You so much that You have preserved Your Word over the years so that we can have it this day to read and mediate upon. Thank You that we have Your Word to receive wisdom and to find comfort. Thank You most of all that we have Your Word in which we find Jesus as our personal Saviour. Lord, I pray for all those who may be reading this post, that they will be blessed, encouraged, comforted and challenged by Your Word and that they will seek out Your Word on their own, because I know for a fact that they will not be disappointed!
In Jesus' Precious Name. Amen."
"Word of God
speak
would You
pour down
like rain
washing
my eyes
to see
Your majesty
to be still
and
know
that You're
in this place
please
let me
stay
and rest
in
Your holiness
Word of God
speak."
"How sweet
are
thy words
unto
my taste!
yea,
sweeter
than honey
to
my mouth!"
Psalm 119:103

March 16, 2016 at 5:03 pmWhat a perfect devotional for all that is happening in my life! I adore that song, and used to stop everything and be still. Then it got to the point that I did not pay attention. Today, your words, and that song, brought me to stillness.
Thank you,
Sandy Platt
